Science Museum Commemorative Wagon - Monkland and Kirkintilloch Railway
Please note at the current time, our images are only concept renders and may change slightly on production. Renders based on OO Gauge tooling.
Celebrating 200 years since opening in 2026, the Monkland and Kirkintilloch Railway was the first public railway in Scotland, and the first in Scotland to use locomotive power successfully. Similar to the S&DR, the line has come under new ownership several times in history, however now only a short length of the original route remains in use between Glasgow and Edinburgh.
We have chosen to represent these incredible feats of early rail infrastructure with the same 7 plank wagons as the Railway 200, NRM50, SDR200, and Greatest Gathering models used last year, allowing modellers and collectors to build a consistent and now fairly impressive train!
